Pa amb tomaca and fuet

An ideal starter for any time of the year and it couldn't be any easier to prepare. Try using special bread, like rustic bread or bread with seeds. It will add a little more flavour!

Ingredients

200 g Campofrío fuet
4 slices of bread
1 ripe tomato
1 clove of garlic
Olive oil
Salt

Preparation

  1. Toast the bread and rub the slices of toast with a peeled clove of garlic.
  2. Grate the tomato into a bowl, add olive oil, salt, and mix well.
  3. Spread the tomato mix onto the slices of toast, and finish by laying some thin slices of fuet on them.

Prepare it with

Farmhouse bread (Pan payés). This typical Catalan bread is ideal for preparing pa amb tomaca. It is healthy, too, given its lower fat content.
