Sitting down outside to enjoy a nibble and good conversation. That's the essence of all great sessions "on the terrace". However, there is much more to being "on the terrace". The desire to have a good time with those you cherish, losing track of time, the sound of simultaneous hearty laughter, the "arguments" over the last tapa on the plate, the song that grabs you and you can't stop listening to, meeting up again… When meals unavoidably go on, when people are welcomed on arrival, when there is no need for cutlery and protocols are forgotten, the session just has to be a success. Being "on the terrace" is synonymous with having fun with friends. It is sharing. Ultimately, neither the location, space, or weather are important. You can be "on the terrace" on your sofa around a low table. Or on the floor on the living room rug. Or standing during any event. Or even around the kitchen counter, why not? Finding reasons for an informal get together from everyday activities just requires willingness. And attitude, of course.

The drink

A tapa should also be accompanied with a drink. If it is a Spanish wine, then ideal! Choose a chilled Rueda wine for a light meal.
